What is the 9mm M1152 active Load?

The Army adopted the Winchester M1152 Active Duty Winchester 9mm 115 grain 9mm Load for the new MHS pistol program, and it is now available for commercial sale. Winchester was selected as an ammunition supplier in 2016 for the US Army’s Modular Firearms System (MHS) program, where the m1152 9mm serves.

How many Rounds are in a Winchester M1152?

“The Winchester Active Duty M1152 ball ammunition provides the accuracy and reliability required for the MHS program using a 115-grain flat-nose FMJ and a military-grade primer,” the Winchester announcement said. “Active Duty will be available in various packages, including 100 rounds and 150 rounds.”

Winchester 9mm Ammo 1000 Rounds for Survival

The Winchester 9mm 115-grain FMJ-FP is a great emergency survival bullet. Whether fired from a pistol or a rifle, it has good penetration capabilities and performs far better in terminal ballistics than 9mm FMJ ball ammunition. However, I wouldn’t advise it for typical self-defense scenarios because of the possibility of overpenetration.

Admittedly, I had just recently had an opportunity to review my Winchester MHS 9mm M1152 FMJ-FP Ammo, even though I had bought it two years prior. I found a 100-round box of M1152 Active Duty ammunition at WinchesterAmmoStore.com, even though it is no longer available on the Winchester website. Purchase some M1152 if you can find it, and don’t use it for target practice after testing a couple to be sure it works. Look for some FMJ-FP ammunition from other manufacturers if you cannot find any. Because of its lower velocity might not be as effective as the m1152 Army, but it will outperform any round-nose FMJ. Remember that a 1,000 FMJ round-nose 9mm bullet cache is preferable to 500 hollow-point rounds!

    Polished the feed ramp and it shoots fine now. Think steel case to steel ramp was the problem as brass cases shot previously were flawless. Good ammo, don’t hesitate to try it.

    Glocks eat this up with no issues. Accurate at 10 yards drills. Cheap cost. No picking up brass I won’t reload anyhow. Get it cheap and stack it deep. Since when does your ammo get wet? Never! Save your cash and buy all you can.

    This ammo wont run through my match grade guns but those guns not designed to the same tolerance will run it fine. The ammo is has a lot residue, the gun needs to be cleaned after a few rounds.

    I ordered 9mm Norma and it arrived as expected in a week. Although their initial auto-email conformation was worded poorly and misleadingly, the order came out OK. It pays to be patient with them because their communication messages are not very assuring. The package was well done and wrapped in “Tamper Detection” tape, which is god for preventing shipping breaches. If simply measured by my shipment results they deserve a good rating.

    I ordered 4 boxes of specialty .9mm,I waited a little longer than normal,then finally received the WRONG AMMO. I called and emailed with no response,so I finally just kept calling over and over and received a call back from the company. They explained that 2 orders had gotten mixed up..blah blah,and wanted me to send this ammo back to them.. When I opened my actual ammo that I had ordered,it was all taped together with packing tape,which ripped the label off of one and made the others sticky. I returned the wrong ammo to them in the same fashion,all taped up together.I think that some plastic or bubble wrap UNDER the packing tape would have resolved the issue,and my ammo would have just been late,and not late AND damaged. $85 for this type of ‘service’.

    I bought 1000 rounds of this and it has worked fine through my KT p11, springfield xdm competition model, ruger p94, and an old nazi marked p35 from ww2. I also thought it shot pretty clean. Will buy more.

    I bought a new G19 Gen5 and 1000 rounds of this ammo for a pistol immersion course. After 200 rounds, I started noticing that cartridges remained stuck in the chamber. I had to rack the slide really hard to clear it. In order to solve the problem, I used some solvent and a brass brush to clean the chamber every 200 / 250 shots, until this became annoying. I decided to continue the course with my G34 Gen4. No problem whatsoever. Other shooters were also using earlier G19 and had no problems. It seems that the new “Glock Match Barrel” included in the Gen5 does not like steel cased ammo, possibly to lower tolerance to increase accuracy.

    Shot a 100 rounds of the 9 mm through my Walther PPQ at a nearby range. Had very inconsistent results. Switched back to my usual Federal ammo and instantly went back to normal. Even had the range officer shoot a clip full and he agreed the Tula wasn’t very good ammo through the Walther. Cheap doesn’t make good.

    I bought this ammo because it was the cheapest sale for 1000 rounds since up until recently you couldn’t get 1000 rounds for less than $450-500. Anyways the shipping was quick which is great. I took 150 rounds to the range and I had about 10 that didn’t fire the first time. There were strike marks but no shot. I would reload the bullet and it would go the second time. Not the most efficient use of time but at least I’m getting my moneys worth so buyer beware that you may get some that don’t fire.

    It seems from reading some of the review’s July was missing package month. Ordered some 9mm they shipped by FedEx Ground shows delivered but have not been found. I live in a RV so they couldn’t have left them on the front porch like it says. It was 30 dollars worth of ammo and 20.81 shipping. It is not as much as some losses but there is a problem. A company should accept some responsibility for getting your product to you. It sounds like they are doing this from the reviews so here is my order number 291256. I did talk to Grace I believe was her name, who said she would email me something to send to FedEx but I never received that either. I am currently trying to file a claim with FedEx and we will see how that goes. I will gladly change my review or write a new one if this issue gets fixed. I mean it seems there is a problem somewhere. The Covid-1984 shouldn’t have stopped having someone sign for receipt of the package. We are talking ammo here and this kind of stuff is not good for business

    I had an issue with getting my order, due to shipping issues. Customer service responded promptly, but was somewhat apathetic. Now, my order seems to be in order, so I’m changing my one star review to three. Here’s the story: Tracking said my package was delivered, but I had no package. I contacted both the seller, and the delivery company, both gave me the run around. The shipper told me that the sender needed to file a claim, and closed my claim, the seller said that they can’t file a claim with the shipper. The conclusion: package wasn’t stolen, USPS took FedEx package, since it was in mailbox. They took a week from when it was originally delivered to give me a notice. I paid that fee too, and now I have my ammo. Huzzah!

    I ordered 9mm ball in both the 115 and 124 grain. The 124 gets 5 stars, but the 115 gets 3 stars as the loads were not consistent and many times so low powered that our pistols wouldn’t even cycle. Not sure if we just got a bad lot, but previous lots of 115 were also great. Overall, I’d order again because the price was right!
